Who We Are?

John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation is a pioneer institution in maritime education. Since its establishment in 1948 John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation, then, Iloilo Maritime Academy had gone a long, long way.
Today, John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation has become a non-stock, non profit institution that allows all surplus from tuition fees to be plowed back to its operation, faculty development programs, facilities and student services.
It holds international accreditation being certified by the Det Norske Veritas (DNV) of Norway to be the First in the Philippines, second in Southeast Asia and third in the World. It is recognized as the first accredited maritime school in the whole Philippines granted by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities - Commission on Accreditation (PACU-COA). It has received its ISO 9001 Certificate. It is also recognized by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate.
It has substantially complied with the requirement of the International Maritime Organization making it to the TOP 11 in the IMO White List.
